| My name is Carl and I have a bunch of classics I need to get rid of since my father (the collector of these) has recently taken ill. I have a '64 "Falcon" Ranchero, Fully Restored show piece, blue with a white top, blue interior, standard trans (3-on-the-tree), all stock with original 6 cyl engine - I love this one and won't sell it for less than $8000 since I did all the work myself... (you have no idea how many junk yards I dug through from north LA to San diego - and bought all new parts from various web sites and shows as well). The one thing that I havent gotten to yet is the side window seals and fuzzies. Other than that this thing is beutiful. I even won a ribbon at a local car show for it! I've actually been driving it around town lately and it runs great! I'm afraid I don't know alot about the bus except I think it's a 57 GMC and it's approx 16-18 feet long (could even be 20 feet??), pretty rough condition but no cancer that I can see. A guy used to live in it then dumped it on us with NO paper. We cleaned it out and are currently using it to store car parts in. We were able to manually turn the engine, so we're assuming that with some new plugs and a battery, it may very well start. I don't remember seeing any broken glass, and other than the seats, I think it's all there. We're asking $1000 for it, and we feel that the engine or steel alone would be worth that, but that price is negotiable. And you'll need to make arrangements to have it towed out. We also have a 64 corvair, white with blue stripes and blue interior, auto trans, 2 dr that's mostly restored. I think all thats left is getting new seatbelts and maybe the side window seals & fuzzys (we may have done these but I can't remember...) And we're asking $6000 obo for this one. I won a ribbon at a local show for this one also. a 62 corvair, auto trans, 2 dr, brown with gold stripes and saddle brown interior that's slightly (just a little) less restored. We're asking $4000 for this one. I also have a 62 corvair van deluxe, red with white stripe & red interior. This one looks really good also and I've completely rebuilt the engine, auto trans, rear differential axles and bearings, brakes and basically everything that makes this thing go or stop but it needs a little body work. I also added new front and rear sway bars that weren't original but it makes the thing drive so smoooooth. Engine looks new and Runs great! Asking $4000. Beyond these I have 2 more corvairs - one 1961 (I think) 2dr, and one 1964 4dr, AND another 1964 corvan that I haven't started to restore yet. These are gonna' be $500 to $1000, or make offer if you see fit. We also have a 63 Fairlane "500 Sports Coupe - K car" with all matching serial numbers. (White car) My mechanic tells me that means every part is the original part and all serial numbers match for that specific car. It has A/C, Power Steering, and lots of other extras. He states that we have every part for that car except the rear window. He says he approached a Fairlane club to inquire about this very special and rare car, and they stated that a fully restored one recently sold at route 66 for $130,000, and that this one would be worth $10,000 to $15,000 even in it's current rough condition. Haven't worked on it yet so no new tires on this one. In my opinion for relatively small ammount of money (a few thousand) you could get this one fixed up and get a nice little chunk of cash if you re-sold it. My dad says he'd settle for around $2000 for this one. The next is the 64 Falcon 4dr. (Red car) My dad had this one painted but the painter sat on it for like a year and the job was less than perfect so it would need to be re-sanded and painted. My mechanic says that with some wet sanding and a few clear coats this paintjob may be fine. It has New front and rear windshield rubber. The two rear doors windows are broken unfortunately, but my dad states that he thinks we may have replacements stored away here somewhere. All parts for this car are here, because we were painting it we removed all the chrome and packed it safely away. (I just have to find it and unpack it...) He wants $1200 for this one but that's negotiable. This one definitely has new tires and he had it running a few years ago... The third car is a 65 Falcon 2dr. (Blue car) I bought it for $1000 and had it towed right here where it sits. I havent done a thing to it yet, but it looks like all the parts are there including glass, (which is unusual). Standard 190 6cl engine with auto trans. I'd like to just get the $1000 back that I'd paid for it. And as with any corvair/falcon collector I have lots and lots of extra parts, engines, windshields, etc. that I'd like to sell as well. My Pa would like to add that if your interested in a package deal he'll sell all with parts and come down on the price. If you know anybody whose interested I also have 3 Pinball Machines and 8 Video Arcade games, and literally thousands of comic books for sale also. Thanx! Carl (951) 288-3688 |
